Adding weights to your jump higher workouts
Nov 26, 2009 by ioVentures , under
It is said that jumping higher relies heavily on how strong your leg muscles are. This totally makes sense, because the power from your jump comes straight from your legs after all. The important thing that you should be doing is to make sure that your legs are able to carry and withstand a lot of weight; this helps ensure that they function well in practically any condition. Your legs should be able to carry your weight and allow you to push off hard from the ground, for one. One way for you to improve your leg strength is to add ankle weights in every workout you do. The use of ankle weights in your workouts can better and more quickly develop the muscles in your legs and forcing them to work harder, helping you jump higher. You don't need to add very heavy weights; you can start with five-pound weights and add more as your legs become stronger.
